Sigma Xi is the oldest scientific and engineering research society in the world. Many students and working scientists and engineers are members.
It is our way to promote and support good research methods and ethics and mentor the next generation of students who come along to serve for our benefit as problems are solved with solutions and we build knowledge about how our world works.
Erin Feeney, Oakland University student from our Pediatric Retinal Research Lab participated in the 2014 Sigma Xi international research conference (November) and won the top presenter medal in our field.
